Airplane's shadow causes double rainbow on the cloud

  3. There's some sort of prismatic effect there. It doesn't appear to be known if the photo was taken through a window or some sort of clear housing. There's any number of possibilities that to happen.

    And I really dislike the correlation of a rainbow, which is a wonder of nature, to be compared to a freak of nature.

  4. It is called a 'glory' and is caused when the viewer's shadow is cast on fog or clouds.
    Incidentally, the study of that phenomenon ended up taking the first pictures of the atom.
