A woman snapping a selfie at a Los Angeles art gallery ended up falling over and setting off a domino effect that destroyed $200,000 worth of artwork.

Oops!

The gallery did not say whether the damage was covered by insurance.

Oops again!

Hahahahaha!

  1. The self-absorption of people these days utterly amazes me!

  2. How are those "sculptures" worth more than $200.00 collectively? And what damage was actually done?

    I smell an insurance scam.

    1. Yeah. I wanted to post separately:
This is - ahem - "art"?!?

'Public art'. But since no one person has an opinion of the value or aesthetic quality, and especially as it's not his/her money. Bingo $200,000 for tat.

  4. At first I thought "piss Christ has been knocked over and spilled," but then I realized: that "work of art" would be worth a lot more than $200,000.

Just imagine the difficulty in replacing it. Just can't find good quality pee anywhere these days, except in "art" galleries!

  5. What part of "lets set these tall, whipy columns up like dominoes. Of course they won't fall over, no need to fasten them down. It's only art!!" sounded like a good idea??

    Definitely not idiot proof.
