The latest expensive coffee innovation is the ‘selfieccino,’ which is created at The Tea Terrace in House of Fraser department store on Oxford Street in London. It allows customers to have an image of themselves or a message “printed” in the foam of a cup of coffee, and the results are truly eye-catching.

It costs £5.75. Customers can send a photo or message to the barista via an online messaging app, who then applies the image to the foam of the beverage using edible food dye and a fine art printer. The process takes around four minutes.

Nearly six quid for that?   It's clear that the end must be near. Apocalypse now!   Prepare accordingly.
